1935 Muratti Cigarettes

This multi-sport set features many athletes to appear in the 1936 Olympic games. The overall set consists of three subsets or series. The set was a German issue and the product of Muratti Cigarettes in Berlin. This was the first year that basketball appeared in the Olympics. More notably however, the Nazi Party had risen to power in 1933, and despite significant international pushback the games still persisted in Berlin, giving the Nazis a platform for their propaganda.
