Hoops returned with an even larger set this year, containing 440 total cards (336 in series 1 and 104 in series 2). The second series includes 6 playoff cards, 12 coaches cards, 11 lottery players, along with updates and team art cards.

The perforated All-Star cards were distributed one per game program at the 1991 All-Star Game in Miami. There were four panels, each consisting 6 cards.

There was also a set of 49 "Collect-a-Books" released, which are card-sized mini booklets featuring facts and stories about NBA stars.
